Satan is on the RunDear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
At the bottom of this email, I will be showing you a couple of pictures but first I want to let you know what this is all about. After we had recorded our third album, I was content but I felt extremely burdened because I knew that Christians were enjoying our music but the ministry that I grew up with from the day I was born was engaged in winning the lost and confronting evil in the Latin American Countries. My Father, Bob Tyson, was a man that stood up and faced followers of Satan, Witches and People who were demon possesed. He never showed any fear and God gave him the strength to destroy many walls that Satan had put up. There are less Religious people today and more God Haters than anytime before. I wanted our fourth album to do two things, First, to show that Religion does not save anyone, only by turning your life over to Jesus, and Two, to find and sing songs with strong lyrics confronting demons, addictions, and anything that would have to do with satan and the hold that he has on the youth. We started uploading the music on Youtube and I started a spanish blog. My strategy was first was to show that I am a normal person with a past and with problems just like anyone but the difference is that I have someone living inside of me who gives me strength. I did not want to start off forcing God on anyone but I started little by little talking about my faith. In just a few months, we had over 45,000 subscribers with our videos being seen over 3 million times. 64 Percent of our subscribers our from Mexico and their ages range between 13 and 19 years old. Once the CD came, our music started flooding the internet. Even some spanish sites were pirating some of the songs where people could download them for free. (This did not bother us a bit because our goal is for people to listen to the message). Just one site alone had over 11,000 downloads of Stephany singing At your Feet. One of the songs that we sing is called Set me Free. The lyrics are extremely strong against Satan. Just one verse of the songs says "It hasn't always been this way, I remember brighter days, Before the dark ones came, Stole my mind, And wrapped my souls in chains. Now I live among the dead, Fighting voices in my head, Hoping someone hears me crying in the night And carries me away. Set me Free from the chains holding me, Is anybody out there hearing me? Who is this man that comes my way? The dark ones shriek They scream His name Is this the One they say will set the captives free? Jesus, rescue me" Countless number of churches in just about every spanish speaking country in the world started downloading this song and their youth groups started doing dramas and skits with this song. They would go to parks and do it in public places. Most spanish christian music is mainly worship style like "lift your hands toward heaven" which is fine but to someone who does not believe in God, this kind of music is ignored. Today, I received a video from Mexico. The email was anonymous and all they wrote was, "God cannot Set you Free, Only Satan". I cannot show you the video because it is very disturbing but I will put a couple of screen shots. It is from a Satanic Cult doing a ritual with some type of pentagram with a picture of my son on one side and my picture on the othe side. First a voice comes up asking for my death and suffering in the name of satan and then chanting starts with people dancing around the pentagram with knives and some type of symbols in their hands. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT SATAN IS ON THE RUN This has inspired me to record once again in September. Hundreds of thousands of people are happy to receive any music we give them. We are going to continue to put swords in the hands of Christians in these spanish speaking countries where EVIL lives. If you have any suggestions on songs that you believe that can help change the minds and hearts of the youth, we can translate them, get the permissions and record them. You can email me at philip@samaritanrevival.com or leave me a comment below with your suggestions. Thank you for reading this and keep us in your prayers as we start visiting churches here in the US in September. The pictures are below. This week has been an interesting time for us. We started out on Sunday, March 6th at Tanglewood Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. All of our songs were new and this was the first time the group was going to sing them. We were really surprised to see how everyone accepted and liked the music. That night we sung at Wrenn Memorial Baptist Church, also in Greenville, and the spirit was so calm and beautiful. What a wonderful night.
Wednesday, March 9th, we had to leave out at 5:30 Am to travel to McDonough, Ga where we were singing to the students of Eagles Landing Christian Academy. We walked in to this beautiful auditorium where around 800 students would be sitting. It is not easy singing to young people because they all have a different taste in music but our purpose is not to be liked, it is to have the message in the music touch the hearts of the ones who listen. We had a wonderful time and afterward, we visited many classrooms where we had a chance to speak to the students and have them ask us questions. An experience of a lifetime. That Night we sung at Iglesia Luz y Verdad which is a spanish church pastored by Phil Covone in Stockbridge, Ga. We really felt at home. There is nothing like ministering to the spanish people. The service was truly wonderful and even mom, who was with us, enjoyed herself so much that she did not even want to leave. The people clapped, cried, and praised the Lord that night. This week, a total of seven children were sponsored. These kids are now going to be able to study in our school in Honduras. Praise the Lord. It is so wonderful to serve in the Lord's work. We have several more concerts to go before the tour ends and thank you so much for keeping us in your prayers. May God Bless You, Philip Tyson www.youtube.com/samaritanrevival www.samaritanrevival.com www.facebook.com/samaritanrevival This Way or That WayAs we have traveled through this uncharted territory in christian music and ministry for us, we have come to realize that everyone has an opinion what which way we should go, which songs we should sing and how we should present ourselves before people. Everyone on the outside has an opinion but we have to live with the consequences on whatever decision we make.
I remember one person telling me to stick with one denomination and he did not mean baptist or pentecostal, he meant one type of baptist. I remember him saying "Don't you go be mixing beans with chicken soup, you stick with the independents, they are the real christians". I will never forget that day. I remember my dad answering after being asked if he was southern baptist or independent, he said "I am neither, I am a dependent baptist. I depend only on God". Those words have never left my mind. Even though people all have ideas and some are good and we appreciate any kind of advice or help, the truth is we have to depend on the Lord because when problems come, people will run but God will stay by your side. One decision we made this year was to reach out to the world is a massive way. To sing music that would lift an eye brow from a catholic or a lutheran. To find songs that would make people think and before they realized it was a christian song, they would be enveloped in its message. Music that would have lost people wanting to hear more and not just turn away. At first, the devil attacked by saying "this does not sound spiritual". I have learned that sometimes the devil can use people who supposedly are very spiritual but I also remember God saying "My ways are not your ways" and we should never believe that we have rights on how ministry should be done. John the Baptist proved that one for us. We decided to use Youtube as a way to reach people. Yes Youtube. One Billion Subscribers. 14 percent of the worlds population has a Youtube account. That seems hard to believe with so many poor countries but even in small villages, you will see an internet cafe. In the last three months, are videos have reached over 1.6 million people with thousands subscribing and friending us. We are now receiving request to visit countries around the world for evangelistic concerts. All because we decided to step away form the norm and do things just a little different. I don't know what the future holds for us but I am excited. I have found Youtube. Another World. A place that brings people together, people of all races, colors and definitely beliefs. One email that we received from a youtube user said this "I am a satanist and I like going around youtube leaving hateful comments on peoples videos but for some reason, I just cant bring myself to leave any of your videos a bad nasty comment. I don't know why. Something is wrong with me". What he does not know is that the Holy Spirit was dealing with him and the music was keeping his fingers from typing and dealing with his heart. Keep our ministry in your prayers and we love you all of you. May God Bless You, Philip All of Creaton by MercyMe Spanish Translation
This is the Official Video of the song "All of Creation" by MercyMe and also the english and the spanish lyrics. This is tough song to translate but it came out fine.
Separated until the veil was torn Separados, hasta el velo rasgar The moment that hope was born lo que esperábamos: and guilt was pardoned once and for all mi deuda total ya canceló Captivated but no longer bound by chains Cautivado, sin cadenas de metal left at an empty grave quedaron en la cruz the sinner and the sacred resolved puedo entrar al Santísimo. Samaritan Revival www.youtube.com/samaritanrevival www.samaritanrevival.com What has God done for me
I have learned so much about myself in this past year. I have learned that I am helpless and that without God and on my own, I can accomplish so little. I have discovered that without Him I lack motivation, and that with Him I can move mountains. I have learned about myself, and I have learned things about God that I would never have imagined. I learn more day by day!
One of the most important things that I have learned about God is His desire to do good things in my life. I look around myself, even in the most dire of circumstances, and I can find something about which to be joyful. It is so easy to overlook everything good and beautiful in the world when your life is looking down. It takes a genuine effort to reach out to God and to thank Him for everything that He has done in your life. It is easy to feel as though nothing is going your way, and to lose tough with the reality of God. As Christians, we are sometimes reminded to be grateful: when we read an article like this; when we go to church; on Easter Sunday; the birth of a child; when we read Paul's epistles. It is easy to forget to make gratitude a part of our daily devotional routine. But gratitude is a necessary element in our lives. It can reconnect us with our creator in an unimaginable way and the results are, in my experience, always amazing! God wants great things for you. He wants to use you in His way for His purpose, and His purposes are always beautiful and good. He wants to bring the ultimate in abundance into your life, but He cannot work unless your heart and mind are open to Him. One way to keep yourself open and vulnerable to God is to daily express your gratitude to him. I do this when I wake up in the morning. I thank Him for a good night's sleep (regardless of whether or not I got one!); I thank Him for my heath and for the health of my family; I thank Him for the motivation to get out of bed (whether or not I have it!); I thank Him for the things He gave me in the previous day. I also end my night with grateful prayer. I thank God for the things He has given me throughout the day, and I thank Him for everything I was able to accomplish. Even if the income is only a penny, I thank God for that and invite His abundance into my life. Without Him, I wouldn't be here, doing what I do. He is the author of my life, and the author of my talents. If you feel that you have nothing to be grateful for, find something. I can assure you that even during the worst of times there is something for which to be thankful. In the past year God has made me a much happier person. I am grateful to Him for the things that He has done for me and I am grateful for my relationship with Him. I believe that God is absolutely amazing and is ultimately worthy of our praises! If you can think of nothing for which to be grateful think of something! What about your family? Are they healthy? Happy? Are you able to feed yourself and your children? Do you have a good friend on whom you can rely? Do you have any special talents that you are able to share with others? There is always something for which to be grateful!
